Their Way to National Health Takeover
The national health takeover legislation is signed into law, but the battle is still going on. About 13 States' Attorneys General have (or will shortly) file suite against the US government on Constitutional grounds.
The President said the following:
1. "You can keep your health insurance policy" - He lied
2. "I won't sign a bill that raises the deficit" - He lied
Democrat's health care bill, estimated by the Senate Budget Committee, would increase the deficit by $582 billion over the first ten years and increase the deficit by $1.6 trillion over the second ten years.
3. "You won't be denied coverage if you have an existing condition" - Doesn't happen for 4 years
4. "No one will get between you and your doctor" - He lied
5. "We can't do nothing" - He lied
6. "This won't cut benefits for Medicare" - He lied
7. "Abortion isn't covered in the bill" - He lied
The President signs an Executive Order to "fix" this issue. By the way, an Executive Order does NOT override Federal law!
Some additional highlights of the new law:
8. Students with loans will now pay for everyone else's health care!!! The spread between the cost of money to the US government (~2.2%) and the loan rate (~6.8%) will go to fund health care subsidies.
9. Expands entitlement spending by roughly $1 trillion.
10. Hits the American people with over half-a-trillion in tax hikes.
11.Uses Medicare as a piggy bank . . . nearly half-a-trillion in Medicare cuts to create a new entitlement.
12. Includes elaborate gimmicks that hide the true cost of the bill.
One example of budget gimmicks is the $463 billion cut from Medicare. The cut is counted as a savings, but at the same time, Pelosi claims that the bill extends the solvency of Medicare. You can't cut a program that is currently underfunded and on its way to insolvency, claim that cut as a savings and then declare that Medicare is solvent. The $463 billion in cuts is counted twice when it shouldn't be counted as a savings at all.
13. Most of the bribes are still in the bill that was signed into law!!!

Washington (CNN) -- The U.S. Senate on Sunday approved $447 billion in spending for several Cabinet departments and other agencies for the 2010 budget year -- money needed to fund the federal government after this week.
On a mostly partisan vote of 57-35, the Senate approved the compromise omnibus spending plan worked out with the House, which passed it last week. The measure, which would succeed a funding resolution that expires Friday, now goes to President Obama to be signed into law.
According to the independent, nonpartisan group Taxpayers for Common Sense, the spending bill includes 5,244 earmarks -- or pet projects sought by members of Congress -- that total just under $4 billion.

Strange Excutive Orders From the White House - Watch Out!!!
NATIONAL SECURITY - NATIONAL GUARD
Executive Order Number 12656 appointed the National Security Council as the principal body that should consider emergency powers. This allows the government to increase domestic intelligence and surveillance of U.S. citizens and would restrict the freedom of movement within the United States and grant the government the right to isolate large groups of civilians. The National Guard could be federalized to seal all borders and take control of U.S. air space and all ports of entry.
INTERPOL
President Barack Obama amended Reagan-era Executive Order 12425 on December 17, which granted agents of the global police database Interpol full immunity from U.S. tax and customs laws, as if they were full ambassadors from other countries.
The original 1983 executive order designated Interpol as an international organization protected by some immunity laws, but Obama's amendment granted all Interpol employees full exemption from U.S. taxes and customs inspections. Under provisions of Obama's executive order, Interpol and its employees in the United States won't have to any pay income taxes, property taxes, or Social Security taxes, in addition to customs duties.
The executive order also notes that Interpol employees and their property “shall be immune from search, unless such immunity be expressly waived, and from confiscation. The archives of international organizations shall be inviolable.”

Fannie And Freddie Receive UNLIMITED Future Funds To Stay Afloat
NEW YORK — The government has handed its ATM card to beleaguered mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
The Treasury Department said Thursday it removed the $400 billion financial cap on the money it will provide to keep the companies afloat. Already, taxpayers have shelled out $111 billion to the pair, and a senior Treasury official said losses are not expected to exceed the government's estimate this summer of $170 billion over 10 years.
By making the change before year-end, Treasury sidestepped the need for an OK from a bailout-weary Congress.

Jan. 8 (Bloomberg) -- The Obama administration is weighing how the government can "encourage" workers to turn their savings into guaranteed income streams following a collapse in retiree accounts when the stock market plunged.
The U.S. Treasury and Labor Departments will ask for public comment as soon as next week on ways to promote the conversion of 401(k) savings and Individual Retirement Accounts into annuities or other steady payment streams, according to Assistant Labor Secretary Phyllis C. Borzi and Deputy Assistant Treasury Secretary Mark Iwry, who are spearheading the effort.

Border Patrol Controls Just 44 Percent of South
A new report says only 15 percent of the southern border is air tight
Feb. 16, 2011 - While they've made strides in arresting illegals and building a fence along the U.S.-Mexico line, the Border Patrol only has "operational control" of 44 percent of the southern border, and of that only 15 percent is air tight, according to new General Accountability Office report. The GAO said that the Mexican border with Texas has the most holes, especially between Fort Hancock and Brownsville, where 70 percent to 90 percent of the state line is at the two lowest levels of protection, "monitored" and "low-level monitored." The GAO said that efforts to detector stop illegal immigrants from crossing there were poor. "Border Patrol reported that these two levels of control were not acceptable for border security," said the GAO.
Highlights from the new report:
-- Of the nearly 2,000 miles separating the U.S. and Mexico, 873 are under the "operational control" of the Border Patrol.
-- Of those 873, 129 miles were under full control, with the rest classified as "managed."
-- Kudos to the Yuma, Arizona unit whose section of the border is locked down.
-- Protecting the southern border costs taxpayers $3 billion a year. Last year, the agents caught 445,000 illegals and seized over 2.4 million pounds of marijuana.
-- Each year the southern border gets harder to cross due to the hiring of Border Patrol agents, who've gone from 10,000 in 2005 to 17,000 today, and the installation of fencing that now stretches over 649 miles.
